L5R 2009 European Championships
Heads up, everyone. Whoever has already registered for the event via the Event Site can now log in using their account details and use the newly-activated “Download Registration Card” option to print out a small personalized barcode card.
It is by no means compulsory (so don’t fret if you forget, or can’t be bothered to do it), but it will certainly speed up your on-site registration significantly.
If you still haven’t registered but are planning to come anyway, do go ahead and register. We are not asking for advance payment or anything, and it’ll make your life easier.

By popular demand (by which we mean that Pablo threatened to go all Moto Chen on us if we didn’t announce this), we would like to announce a new side-event for Saturday night aptly called the Test of the Shogun.
The observant among you will notice that this side-event falls within the time-slot allocated to the party. Well. Gee. We hadn’t thought of that. Better pack an iron stomach along with that 30/30 Celestial deck then, shouldn’t you?
For more information, please contact Mr. Rojo himself.
What? You don’t know his email? Just say his name three times. I hear it worked for Kibo…

Among the various gifts that we’ll be spoiling you with at the tournament, we’ll be giving out the following promos:

Biwa Player

Sasumata

Plains of Resolution
Personally, I’m kinda partial to the last one, though I can see a use for all three of them in decks — then again, I’ve been known to field janky decks, so take that with a grain of salt.

We’ve enabled the functionality for match-making at the event website. Just log in with your email and password and click on “Potential room-mates”.
So far, it looks like very few people have opted to make use of this facility — anyone who changes their mind can take part in the scheme by editing their registration details (just log in and click on “Edit Registration”) and checking the “Searching for room-mates” box.
