We’ve set up live streaming of the Semi-finals and finals. Currently, we’re streaming both tables of the semis, and we’ll re-focus the camera to give a better view of the cards for the finals.
Athens, September 4-6, 2009. Be there.
We’ve set up live streaming of the Semi-finals and finals. Currently, we’re streaming both tables of the semis, and we’ll re-focus the camera to give a better view of the cards for the finals.
If our Internet connection remains stable, we’re planning to livecast the finals tomorrow. Right now we’re doing some tests, so head on over to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/l5rec2009 for a flavour ![]()
You can get live, round-by-round standings at http://live.l5r2009.eu
Feel free to follow the tournament at your leisure — standings are posted for both storyline tournaments: The EC2009 Main Event, and the Mouzaka.
Just a heads up for everyone: We will have some side-events where Path of the Destroyer will be legal, even though, as announced, it will not be legal for the main and secondary tournaments.
So if you’ve got a funky new deck you want to try, bring it along!
Heads up, everyone. Whoever has already registered for the event via the Event Site can now log in using their account details and use the newly-activated “Download Registration Card” option to print out a small personalized barcode card.
It is by no means compulsory (so don’t fret if you forget, or can’t be bothered to do it), but it will certainly speed up your on-site registration significantly.
If you still haven’t registered but are planning to come anyway, do go ahead and register. We are not asking for advance payment or anything, and it’ll make your life easier.
Ladies and gentlemen, anyone still looking to book a room, please note that we will be unable to guarantee availability and the prices quoted on the event website past the 25th of August.
So, anyone who is planning to visit and has yet to book a room, please contact Mr. Trachiotis at mantrah@hotmail.com BEFORE the 25th of August.
The venue’s room availability is already severely limited.
By popular demand (by which we mean that Pablo threatened to go all Moto Chen on us if we didn’t announce this), we would like to announce a new side-event for Saturday night aptly called the Test of the Shogun.
The observant among you will notice that this side-event falls within the time-slot allocated to the party. Well. Gee. We hadn’t thought of that. Better pack an iron stomach along with that 30/30 Celestial deck then, shouldn’t you?
For more information, please contact Mr. Rojo himself.
What? You don’t know his email? Just say his name three times. I hear it worked for Kibo…
Among the various gifts that we’ll be spoiling you with at the tournament, we’ll be giving out the following promos:
Personally, I’m kinda partial to the last one, though I can see a use for all three of them in decks — then again, I’ve been known to field janky decks, so take that with a grain of salt. ![]()
We’ve enabled the functionality for match-making at the event website. Just log in with your email and password and click on “Potential room-mates”.
So far, it looks like very few people have opted to make use of this facility — anyone who changes their mind can take part in the scheme by editing their registration details (just log in and click on “Edit Registration”) and checking the “Searching for room-mates” box.
As posted on the Alderac forums here, we are planning to run an L5R-flavored Trivial Pursuit game and we want your help!
Check out the details here on the Event Site and submit your trivia to win prizes and recognition by your fellow Rokuganis!
